FÆM Release Brand New Single ‘Keep Me Up’
Berlin-based trio FÆM have released their brand new single, the angular, reggae infused indie pop anthem ‘Keep Me Up’!
The song is the first ‘proper’ release from the band, following their self-released track ‘Demons Play’ which has achieved German airplay with no promotion whatsoever. In the band’s signature style, ‘Keep Me Up’ fuses smooth vocal harmonies with driving hip hop basslines, rapped verses and a soaring chorus that’s begging to be sung from stadium terraces.
Jakob, Tim and Chris were destined to make music together. Meeting at high school in Hamburg, they started the band in 10th grade, aged just 15. It’s hard to believe when listening to their incredibly eclectic sound, but the band admit having a blinkered approach to music while growing up: “Until we were 19 we would refuse to listen to anything after the 70s. We just rejected all music in the charts” explains Jakob, and this influence can be heard in their smooth three-part harmonies – a signature which carries through most of their music.
