Leeds rock n’ roll band Velvela arrive with the release of their debut single ‘Prowl today’ – a slice of down and dirty fuzz rock that’s powered by scorching guitar riffs, pounding drums and howling vocals.

Having formed in early 2018, the four-piece seem to be far more experienced and musically credible than would often be expected of a band with mere months under their belt.

“We wanted our first single to be in your face, simple and catchy so people know what we’re all about” explains frontman Sean Kildunne. “The song is about the need to have something more from a relationship after a one-night stand. The girl is playing hard to get and the man in the lyric is kind of chasing her and hunting her down, and it’s all soundtracked by these huge guitar riffs.”
